Become a citizen

If you are eligible for Australian Citizenship—as confirmed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship—and would like to register for conferral at the Lord Mayor's Citizenship Ceremony, you need to either state Adelaide City Council as your preferred council when applying for Australian citizenship or notify the Lord Mayor's office at least 4 weeks before the ceremony.

You will need to provide your full name, contact details, date of birth and Department of Immigration Client ID Number. To notify the Lord Mayor's office, please contact:
