Coordinator

The Co-ordinator can be viewed as the glue of the Centre, the person responsible for bringing everything together. Among the many tasks of the Coordinator is finding, training and motivating our volunteers; devising and putting into operation new programmes; organising special functions; liaising with hirers; marketing the Centre; providing a link between the Management Committee and the Adelaide City Council and its different departments; controlling the daily finances; and handling the one hundred and one other things which come up each day. All this is done in just 38 hours a week.

The Co-ordinator is a paid employee of Adelaide City Council.

Volunteers

Without our volunteers the Centre would not exist. Volunteers help the Co-ordinator with the office work; provide their knowledge and expertise to run many of the programmes; turn up at a moment's notice to decorate the Centre and cater for the numerous Community events.

But it's not one-way traffic. Our volunteers gain a deeper insight into their community and a great amount of pleasure from using their skills.
