Council recognises that children and young people are an important part of the City community. The City of Adelaide plays a lead role in ensuring that the City is a place where children and young people choose to live, learn, work & visit.

Youth Strategy and Action Plan

The Youth Strategy 2010–2014 helps to achieve Councils vision for the City. The five outcomes for young people are Live, Learn, Earn, Play and Voice. The Youth Action Plan sets out the current actions in place to achieve the Youth Strategy.

School resources

Council offer a range of support programs and resources for schools and students, including the Adelaide Education Attractions guide, a popular teacher’s resource called Adelaide Footprints and access to a purpose built City Classroom in the heart of Adelaide.

Recreation

Council manages two popular youth recreation sites in the City, City SK8 Park and Kurrangga Park BMX Track. Both are world class youth facilities which provide safe spaces for young people to meet and have fun.
