Displays

A series of historic displays has been developed by the Adelaide City Council Archives to showcase items from the Civic Collection, Oral History Collection, and Historical Pictorial Collection.

The displays focus on a number of themes and topics, bringing to life the history of the City of Adelaide, through archival documents, images and artefacts.

Displays are usually staged to demonstrate the historical background to current Council projects and initiatives, or to coincide with particular events being held within the City.

Archives staff undertake extensive research and preparation to bring together the materials and resources required to mount a series of high quality displays.

The Adelaide City Council Archives is committed to expanding and broadening its archival displays program to highlight the history of the City and its Council.
