Anne Moran

Area Councillor

Moran lives in North Adelaide with her husband Dr Patrick Moran and their children and has served as a City Councillor since 1995 and has again been re-elected for the 2010-2014 as Area Councillor. Anne has served as Deputy Lord Mayor, has chaired the Central Market Authority and the Development Assessment Panel and has been a member of the Adelaide Aquatic Centre Authority and the State Heritage Authority. She has been appointed to the Development Assessment Panel and Adelaide Park Lands Authority.

She graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Education, and taught senior English and Modern History. Since 1995, Anne has devoted herself full-time to council duties.

Councillor Moran is a dedicated Councillor committed to honest and open local government. A long term resident and business owner in the city, Anne listens, understands and speaks up for residents and the small business community to ensure Adelaide is a sustainable and enjoyable place to live, visit and grow businesses. Anne supports: providing 'first class' local services; keeping rates low; keeping the Central Market a vibrant fresh produce market; protecting and improving our unique Parklands and built heritage; bringing back owner/occupier grant; delivering efficient administration and investing to revitalise the city. She is determined that the Park Lands and residential streets do not become car parks.
