To support our Strategic Development Plan, the Adelaide City Council has a number of programs and initiatives in place.

Grants

Funding is available for Arts and Living Culture, Community Development and Recreation & Sport projects.

Other Initiatives

Our Economic Development program aims to strengthen the contribution of the City to the State economy as the central focus for enterprise, business support services, specialty retailing, entertainment, public administration and tourism.

The Precinct Group Support Program aims to support the sustainability and management of City precinct groups and to foster local participation in community based projects and activities.

Social Planning in the Council seeks to ensure that Adelaide is an attractive, welcoming and inclusive place for all people to live, work, study in and visit. In doing this it is important that the City is characterised by a harmonious, robust and diverse mix of people.

The City Council also offers a number of City Wide Services for Visitors, Residents and Businesses including the Town Hall Function Centre, Horticulture, Waste Management and Cleansing.

To further support the Businesses and Community of Adelaide we offer other programs such as Home and Community Care Services and Safety Initiatives.

The Capital City Committee is a State Government and Adelaide City Council collaboration to develop and promote Adelaide as the capital city of South Australia. The Capital City Committee is an innovative and positive model for city governance.
