Arts & Living Culture Grants

Council provides funding to eligible individuals, groups and organisations on either a one-off or a partnership basis to assist art and cultural groups and organisations to deliver inspiring art and living culture activities, events or programs which make a positive creative contribution to the City.

The Arts and Culture Grants Program has three funding categories as follows:

1. Strategic Partnership Grants - Up to $20k (Only Round 1):

Funding will be provided to strategic partners specifically for projects that deliver Council's program priorities and increase opportunities for young, emerging and established artists in the City.  Total contribution by the applicant in cash and/or in-kind must be greater or equal to the amount applied for.

2. Public Art Grants - Up to $8k:

Funding to be provided for artists - emerging and established - to create temporary public artworks within the public realm.

3. Community Programs and Events Grants - Up to $8k:

Funding to be provided to non-profit arts and cultural organisations and groups for events, projects, exhibitions and performances which contribute to the City as a vibrant and stimulating place for people to live, work and visit. Total contribution by the applicant in cash or in-kind must be greater or equal to the amount applied for.

How to Apply

Please see the application process outlined in the 2012-2013 Sponsorship, Grants and Incentives Handbook to apply for funding. Then complete the relevant Application Form within the required timeframe and in accordance with instructions in the Handbook.
