Be rewarded for going green.
In a bid to address climate change and conserve energy, water and natural resources, Adelaide City Council is providing reimbursements for the installation of water and energy conservation devices.
This scheme is available to all residential properties, sporting clubs and community organisations in the City of Adelaide.
Solar Panels
Receive 20 cents for every dollar spent up to a maximum $1,000 for installing solar panels (minimum 1.5 kW peak). For landlords installing solar panels on rental properties and concession card holders installing solar panels (minimum 1.5 kW peak) receive 50 cents for every dollar spent up to a maximum $1,000. For lighting common areas in apartment buildings, receive $1 per watt (up to $5,000).

Solar Hot Water System
Receive up to $1,000 to replace an existing electric or gas storage hot water system with a gas-boosted solar hot water system.

Rainwater Tank
Receive up to $500 to purchase and install rainwater tank(s) (minimum total capacity 2,000 L). For communal supply in apartments, install a minimum 2,000 L rainwater tank and receive $0.25 per litre of storage capacity (up to $3,000). As a minimum the rainwater tanks must be plumbed into either toilets, hot water service or washing machine.

Natural Resource Management Grants
Grants of up to $1,000 including GST per site or activity are available to support the environmental work of volunteers in the City that contributes to achieving Councils strategic objectives.
Native Resource Management Grants are limited and are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Council on 8203 7203 if your organisation is interested in applying for Native Resource Management Grants.
