Free Transport

Adelaide is a great city to walk around and explore, with wide flat streets and a grid like street layout makes it an easy city to navigate and traverse by foot. These elements combined with a network of dedicated bike lanes and paths also make it a great city to explore by bike.

Don’t have a bike here in the City? Then hire a Adelaide Free Bikes from one of 14 locations around the City and North Adelaide, comes complete with a helmet and bike lock.

For those of you who are looking to sit back and relax while exploring the city then there are a number of other free modes of transport available for all city visitors to use.

Free City Connector

Take advantage of the Free City Connector, which services the City and North Adelaide linking major tourist attractions, key city destinations and facilities. The large loop (98a and 98c) connects North Adelaide and the City, while the small loop (99a and 99c) connects the inner city areas that are not serviced by the tram.

Jump on the tram for free travel between South Terrace and the Entertainment Centre, or buy a MetroCard and ride all the way to Glenelg in air-conditioned comfort.

See the Adelaide Metro for more information.
