Mentoring Program
Adelaide City Council firmly believes in the benefits of a structured mentoring program, not only for itself as an organisation, but also for the individual staff members participating. As such, Tees and Tors is open to all employees who seek to become either a (men)Tor or a (men)Tee.
Within ACC, Mentees are matched with another person who offers practical and objective guidance, counselling and support. Pairs meet to discuss goals, development opportunities and any other relevant issues.
Mentoring is a relationship/partnership which offers participants an opportunity to share their professional skills and experiences and to grow and develop in the process. It is based upon encouragement, openness, mutual trust, respect and willingness to learn and share. Mentoring has been around for centuries but has only recently begun to receive a high profile as a natural skill for today's leaders. As you can see, a mentoring partnership is an effective strategy to contribute significantly to your career development!
