City Ed

Adelaide City Council recognises that the higher education of its employees makes a significant contribution to the achievement of its corporate goals and Strategic Management Plan. To encourage and support an increase in employee participation in higher education, and to attract and retain employees with higher education qualifications, the Corporation provides a comprehensive study assistance program titled City Ed.

City Ed encourages participation in higher education through partial, or total, reimbursement of study fees and is relevant for employees wishing to maintain their knowledge and skill for their current job role, or develop their competencies in order to compete for other positions within the organisation.

The program is far reaching in its support, allowing each employee to apply for assistance in completing one undergraduate, and one postgraduate, program. The leave provisions also do as much as possible to support the employee in completing their program of choice.
