Splash Adelaide

About Splash Adelaide
Splash Adelaide is bringing the City’s streets and spaces to life through a series of urban experiments intended to increase the vibrancy and vitality of the City.
2012/2013 is the second season of Splash Adelaide. Think night time markets, relaxing urban retreats, live music and a cultural extravaganza throughout the City.
So far, there have been over 60 activities or events. The What’s On section on the Splash Adelaide website is a great way to find out what’s happening around the City and will be constantly updated with the most current information available.
NB: Splash Adelaide 2013/2014 is dependent on budget approval from Council in June 2013. Subscribe to the Splash newsletter here to be kept updated. Or like them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.
Splash Projects
Splash projects should be community driven and may be musical, graphic, recreational or entertaining. They may include:
• Street parties and road closures to create more space
• New, innovative, quirky or creative events that activate under utilised public spaces
• Pop up entertainment and performances in public spaces.
The possibilities are endless..
Successful Splash Adelaide projects from last year that are continuing are Mobile Food Vendors, Splash Adelaide @ UNISA plus the Parklet Program and Outdoor Dining.
Note: The Splash Adelaide program will not support existing initiatives for events or activities that receive funding through other Council programs. However, support for new ideas and initiatives may be considered on a case by case basis.
2012/13 projects will not be accepted into 2013/14.
