Splash Adelaide is a program jointly funded by Adelaide City Council and the State Government, and is designed to bring the city’s streets and spaces alive in a series of pilot experiments.
The current round of Splash Adelaide projects finishes on 31 March, with the exception of three ongoing projects:
• A trial parklet program: find out more
• An extension of the street food vendor program: find out more
• Continuing a partnership with UniSA throughout the semester: find out more
Thank you for your ideas!
Splash Adelaide is no longer accepting pilot project suggestions for this round of projects. Please subscribe to the newsletter or follow us on Facebook to find out about future Splash Adelaide pilots. We would like to thank everyone involved in the project.
About Splash Adelaide
Over the summer, Splash Adelaide’s pilot projects have allowed both businesses and the public to experience new concepts and ideas for the city to trial whether they will work in the long term.
Some of the experiments over the summer include:
• extended outdoor dining areas or footpath lounges
• encouraging food carts in new locations around the city
• street parties and road closures to create more people space
• plazas popping up in underused spaces, streets and squares
• new ways to experience the streets: deck chairs, table tennis tables, outdoor cinemas, markets and more
I want to find out what’s going on…
