Outdoor Dining

Eligibility

Persons/Companies who have a ground floor establishment, which serves food and/or drinks are eligible to apply.

How to Apply

To apply for Outdoor Dining the following information must be supplied:

● A completed Application Form (PDF, 36Kb)
● A Public Liability Certificate of Currency to the value of $20million
● Supporting information including :
— A site plan of existing conditions & proposed layout, at a scale of 1:100
(more details in brochure to be supplied to customer)
— An elevation (front view) of the area where umbrellas or other structures are proposed
— Photographs, references to supplier catalogues and drawings detailing
proposed furniture.
● Apply online (attach scanned supporting documents)

A receipt of payment of fees (application fees and annual fees). Please collate the above information and return the application and details to:

Conditions

Outdoor dining Permits are assessed individually against the Councils Outdoor Dining Policy and Guidelines (PDF, 2Mb). Special Conditions may be attached to individual Permits if there is a need or conditional approval is applicable.

Once Off Fees

* Application Lodgement Fee: $314
* Transfer Fee: $90.50

Annual Fees

Central Activities District and Main Street Precinct

* Moveable Furniture: $120 per table
* Fixed Furniture: $149 per table
* Glass/Canvas Screens: $36.50 per lineal metre
* PVC Blinds: $36.50 per lineal metre

Other Areas

* Moveable Furniture: $96 per table
* Fixed Furniture: $120 per table
* Screens: $36.50 per lineal metre
* PVC Blinds: $36.50 per lineal metre

Note: Development Approval is required for some outdoor dining structures.
