Green Waste Centre

The Adelaide City Council operates a green waste recycling centre open to the public and residents for the dumping of green waste and the sale of a range of mulches and compost.

The Centre is located on War Memorial Drive, North Adelaide.

Saturday: 10am – 3:45pm
Sunday/Public Holidays: Closed

The Centre is closed every second Monday for mulch processing.

Mulch and Compost

The Centre recycles green waste into a variety of mulches and compost and are available for sale from the Centre.

Mulch is very beneficial for your garden:

● Helps retain moisture in the soil.
● Cools the root zone of plants which lowers transpiration of moisture from the plant.
● Builds soil structure and adds nutrients (fertilizer is still recommended).
● Aids micro-organisms that are beneficial to plants and soil.
● Helps prevent salinity problems by reducing evaporation.
● Introduces organic material into poor soils.
● Looks good!

Parklands Mulch $28/m3

Our low cost mulch that is ideal to cover a large area or for
a tight budget. It has a natural appearance and performs well
on sloping sites due to its ability to stay in place more readily
than other finer products. If applied 100mm thick, it should last
approximately 2 years.

Parklands Fine Mulch $39/m3

An attractive mulch with a finer appearance. A favourite
with landscape contractors, it is ideal for the smaller garden
or a garden that requires a formal appearance.

Rose Mulch $39/m3

A combination of our Parklands Mulch and Compost, the
Rose Mulch was developed to provide the extra benefit
of boosting the soil more quickly than mulch alone. It is ideal
for any plant that would benefit from the application of compost.

  
Super Mulch $55/m3  

Our premium quality mulch with a 20% addition of compost.
It not only looks good but plants love it!

Compost $63/m3

A premium compost ideal for improving soils, aids micro-organisms and improves moisture retention.
